Workplace & Retail EV Charger Rebate Process

    01

    Initial Consultation & Site Review

Start with a one-on-one consultation with Income Power. Our team will review your site conditions, discuss your charging needs, and outline how the rebate program can best support your project goals.

    02

    Eligibility Check

Income Power verifies all rebate requirements on your behalf such as the need for separate metering, qualified site locations, and operational conditions to ensure your project is fully eligible before moving forward.

    03

Proceed with the Income Power Survey

This step is to collect the information required for Income Power to prepare and submit your rebate application.

    04

    Application Submission
    (Handled by Income Power)

Using the information you provide, along with any additional technical details, Income Power prepares and submits the rebate application directly to DTE. This ensures accuracy, saves you time, and reduces the chance of delays or rejections.

    05

    DTE Approval

Once your application is reviewed and approved by DTE, you will receive confirmation that your project qualifies for rebate funding. This approval is mandatory before any installation work can begin.

    06

    EV Charger Purchase & Installation

After approval, you can either purchase the charger directly or let Income Power handle the purchase and installation on your behalf. Our certified electricians ensure that installation is completed safely and in full compliance with all DTE requirements, including separate metering, certified EVSE models, and safety standards.

    07

    Completion Documentation

When installation is complete, Income Power compiles and submits all required documentation such as installation photos, equipment specifications, and invoices to DTE. This guarantees transparency and compliance at every step.

    08

    Final Approval & Rebate Issuance

DTE conducts a final review of your submission. Once approved, the rebate funds are issued to Income Power, who then returns the rebate amount to you, reducing your overall project cost and rewarding your investment in EV charging infrastructure.
